Dear HKICC Friends,

Welcome to another issue of our newsletter. One of the questions I get asked often is "Is there enough demand for coaching to make it my full time career?" The short answer would be yes there is, but the longer answer would be, it depends on how you market yourself.

There are always people out there who would gladly hire your services, but do they know that a service such as what you provide exists ...

Dear Readers,

With two teenage children at home from boarding school these last two months, I've found myself looking to be more disciplined in order to focus on different commitments - and I've been thinking about discipline ...

Dear Professional Coach member,

It's time for action! The current Coaching Directory will be phased out in October 2009 and replaced by a more user friendly version - for both you and members of the public seeking professional coaches.

To get you migrated over as quickly and efficiently as possible, we would like to ask each of you to register as if you were a new Professional member by following the directions below. The first part of the process should take under 3 minutes. The second part should take between 10-12 minutes.

1. go to this link http://www.coachinghk.com/CD/
2. on the right-hand side, click "Login Now"
3. click "Create an account now"
4. the system will send you an email to confirm your email and ask you to login and create your listing
5. after receiving the eMail, follow the instructions to login, on the left side, please click "Choose Profile Type"
6. select your membership type and click "submit"
7. follow the system instructions but do not pay at the end. (If you are a paid up member for 2009, the admin team will activate your membership)

A few points to make things easier:

To add your photo to the profile, login to your account, click "Manage Profiles", on the right side you will see some small icons. Click the on that says 'Photo". Then click "Add Photo"

●● To add a catalog, flyer, brochure etc with your profile for visitors to download, login to your account, click "Manage Profiles", on the right side you will see some small icons. Click the on that says 'Documents". Then click "Add Document" <only PDF documents are allowed>

●●● square photos are best and 120x120 is the perfect size to use. <The system will not allow your photo to extend beyond 120px wide or 180px high>

●●●● if your membership type allows the use of a logo, the system will not allow your logo to extend beyond 300px wide or 300px high.

If you have any questions, please send an eMail to directorysupport@coachinghk.com

Awakening the Dreamer Review

Can you imagine what an environmentally sustainable, socially just and spiritually fulfilling world looks like? If it can be imagined, it can be brought into being!

Most of the 30-some participants at the 'Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream' Symposium (ATD) on 12th August reportedly left the 4-hour session with a sense of proactive ownership of the collective issues and a new awareness and commitment to action…

"Feeling a sense of community – we are one and there is hope for planet earth…" – Gloria Hung

"I am leaving the symposium filled with ideas, plans, new language and a deeper awareness what I can do…Me…I can become an instrument of sharing that WILL make a difference…" – M. J. Jennings

We greatly appreciated the presence of participants, HKICC for its support in making it happen, our kind sponsors of food - Organic Land, Health Gate and Peak Performance.

Join us on the HKICC forum to learn more about developments.
