Resources HKICC Newsletter President's Message 2005
It is the time of year that we review our priorities and make decisions about what we would like to accomplish in the coming year. The HKCC is also engaging in visioning. We are anticipating the growth of the HKCC beyond our present Mission which enlists the following:
Aligning with our mission, supplemented with regular interflow amongst our members, we are now channeling our efforts to the following aspects: - Firstly, creating a HKCC Code of Ethics for the coaches. Secondly, expanding our focus on corporate coaching and training program. Thirdly, providing a platform for the coaches to learn more, to synergize and to inspire or vice versa. Fourthly, enlarging our membership and finally increasing the credibility and popularity of coaches and coaching through press release. The HKCC is gradually extending it’s professional services to better support society as a whole. In the past years, we have been collaborating with the Salvation Army and the Management Development Centre of Vocational Training Council by providing new insight in management and training. My drive is fueled by an increasing social recognition towards the profession. To keep abreast of the changes, we are exploring every opportunity to collaborate and establish new alliances for the benefit of the HKCC members, the individuals, the corporations and the community as a whole. With the terrific success of the Speed Coaching Day on 29 Jan, 2005, we will schedule this as a means to go public on a regular basis: to impart the idea of “coaching” as a profession and how it benefits the individuals. Think high and see wide. In the long term, we envision the HKCC to be the leading coaching community in Asia by giving definition to “coaching jargon”. The HKCC was founded in 2002 with a view to extending the practical support amongst our coach members, please feel free to voice out your idea to our R&D. Please email me your thoughts to president@coachinghk.org and thanks in advance for your generous contributions. They mean a great deal to the future of the HKCC. Sincerely, Bonnie Chan
