Reliable field-based research on the benefits of executive coaching is not easy to find.
In 2005, the Institute of Executive Coaching developed and implemented an ongoing study to measure the effectiveness of the Institute’s coaching. The study includes an online survey and in-depth interviews.
With 3 years of data now available, the results indicate that coaching does provide significant benefits for workplace performance. The research also gives insight into exactly how coaching provides these benefits.
The Institute’s presentation will focus on the following:
- What are the major benefits of coaching, as reported by the executives being coached?
- How does this specifically impact on the executives work?
- How, exactly does coaching work from the executive’s perspective?
- How does this information help me in my practice as a coach?
The presentation is designed to help coaches as a profession to evolve and better market their services.
It will be delivered by Dr. Hilary Armstrong, the Institute’s Director of Training and Master Coach.
About the presenter:
Hilary is the Director of Research and Training at the Institute, responsible for curriculum design, and the quality of the Institute’s program. She is a master coach and has established and runs the Institute’s ongoing Community of Practice to support our graduates in their professional development.
