March 2006

Dear Friends,

Someone asked me a few months ago, what I thought was my primary ‘Life’s Lesson’? That is to say, what it was that I was supposed to learn during this lifetime.

It has become clearer to me this week that I keep experiencing repeating patterns of certain circumstances to deal with. On reflection, I have come to realise that perhaps my ‘Life’s Lesson’ is to learn to go with the flow, to trust that the universe has a greater plan for me than I know, to stay in the moment and acknowledge that the ‘Present is Perfect’.

It is always difficult to stay calm, focused and grateful when faced with difficult or challenging circumstances. I must remind myself to breathe, feel gratitude for the time and opportunities that I have been fortunate to experience and more importantly, to let go of the fear and trust that what opportunities lie ahead will be even more wondrous.

So here I go with step 1: breathe!!!!

Have a great month

  • Take a Break or a Coach

    by Charlie Lang

Recently I had a chat with one of my ex-colleagues from my previous employer. As often before, he was telling me a few things that were going on in the company and I thought, how would I deal with these challenges now if I would rejoin as a manager? I further asked myself, how would I have done things today if I had never left?

And I noticed a big difference between these two scenarios.

    Hi all fellow coaches,

I am a lifestyle and nutrition coach/consultant and a (holistic) image consultant.  You can read more about me on the member's profile.  I am available to work with you on your clients who can use support on lifestyle/nutrition/image.  They can see me once or twice (depending on the service type) to get results.  I don't normally offer short term lifestyle/nutrition consultations to other clients but knowing that they have a coach supporting them I am happy to do so and cooperate with you.  If you would like to know more or meet me, please contact me at: 6056-2930, or email me:  anita@integrative-living.com

    OUR WONDERFUL SPONSORS

    Message from the President

In the past 12 months, HKCC has been featured by different media such as the Salvation Army, SCMP, Recruit, Readers’ Digest, and China Daily etc..  Coaching has already become a new topic in the city for the people development profession.  In a recent conversation, a UK practice coach, who visited Hong Kong in Jan, asked me a good question, “How is a high standard of coaching maintained in Hong Kong?” We spent almost 20 minutes exchanging views and I introduced him to the Coaching Standard of HKCC, implemented since Oct 2005 and the project in transiting HKCC from a society, to an incorporated non-profit limited company, namely HKICC (more details will be informed to members separately).  I believe that more time is required for the market to understand how to benefit from the coaching profession and choose the right coach.  HKCC will keep on promoting these aspects through different activities in 2006.

For those members who would like to share their valuable ideas and participate in our planning and development, please do come and join our upcoming March Focus Meeting:
    Date: 15 Mar 2006
    Time: 6:30pm
Place: 1302 Chung Name Bldg., 1 Lockhart Rd., WanChai.

    Cheers,
    Bonnie Chan
