By
Veronica Lee, VP Training @ HKCC
The dynamic duo, John Bower and Charlie Lang
facilitated a unique workshop for the Hong Kong
Coaching Community's very first Gem Session at
Professional Training & Strategy Limited (www.nlppro.com)
in Causeway Bay. To make a long story extremely
short for readers, those of us who came to this
workshop expecting to learn some never-heard-before
revolutionary sales skills didn't really get them.
In fact, what John and Charlie were up to was
nothing less than trying to help the audience
in making a complete shift of mindset about selling.

| Setting
the Standards for Coaching in Hong Kong |
 |
|
HKCC
has decided to embark on a process of setting
standards for the profession of coaching in Hong
Kong. Over the next few months we'll be gathering
your views, holding special meetings, referring
to other coaching standards and finally drafting
a code of coaching that will help clarify the
status and utility of coaching in Hong Kong. Please
read on to learn why we are doing this and how
you can contribute to ensure we are reflecting
your views.

HKCC has planned to extend herself by allying
with other coaching counterparts of similar capacity
in Asia. By fostering a channel for professional
development and speakers exchanges is our first
priority. Japan Coaches Association (JCA) is one
of them. In the past, JCA organized her annual
coaching conference in Tokyo and was well attended
by over 5,000 participants. Should you have any
ideas about how we could collaborate with these
associations; thus benefiting our members as a
whole, please email to Angelina
Wong, VP, Marketing of HKCC.
Happy New Year,
