Dear Coaches,
Hope all our readers our enjoying the glorious summer!
On the surface, August seems to be one of our quietest
months, however behind the scenes, our coaches are working
very hard preparing as September will be a month full
of events and activities.
Our next Coaching Day will be on September 25, so please
mark that date down on your diaries. The format will
be somewhat different from previous events, and we believe
you will find it most intersting. Our readers will be
receiving a reminder with more details closer to the
date.
Please enjoy this issue until we meet again next month!
Warm wishes,
Anita Moorjani

are Great, Top CEOs are Greater |
 |
By Charlie Lang
Most CEOs are CEOs because they have given
outstanding performances in their careers. They
worked hard, were smarter and sometimes luckier
than their ambitious peers who worked equally
hard or maybe even harder. Having reached the
top, it is natural that CEOs believe strongly
in their capabilities and competence as leaders
because of their good leadership history. Why
do some CEOs still hire an executive coach despite
having reached the top already? Charlie Lang,
executive coach and trainer of Progress-U Ltd.,
focuses on coaching leaders and shares some insights
from his experiences.

| Message
from the President |

I'm very excited to see so many
people contributing to the HKCC these days.
We have some great new projects in the works:
The Chinese-speaking coaches have
named themselves 'CoachXChange' and elected
committee members. They're working on creating
more HKCC services in Chinese. Please contact
Chairman Zenda
Gan to find out how you can support them.
We have hired some administrative
and technical support to upgrade our services.
This support will allow our volunteer committee
members to stay committed to HKCC, and have more
fun! (Yes, it's now 'safe' to become more active
in HKCC. Contact
me to find out how.) My warm thanks to all
our members for the financial support that makes
this possible.
Our next Coaching Day on
Sept 25 will be especially for coaches and coaches-in-training
to sample one- on-one coaching with each other.
We want to learn from each-others coaching styles,
get to know what coaches we can align with, show
each other what coaching means to us. You won't
want to miss this unique, first-time event. Watch
for details coming soon, or call me if you must
know more now!
Cheers,
Angela
President of HKCC
